Become part of the island legacy by working at the Southport General Store. For over 140 years, we have fostered a welcoming and timeless environment for those who are our regulars year round and those passing through during our summer months.

Days at the store are nicely busy. No two days are alike, and that keeps things interesting and fun. We are looking for people who share our love for being a part of a team, who like to work hard together and have fun along the way.

We offer flexible scheduling, benefits for full time, year round employees, and excellent working conditions. We are currently hiring part time & full time employees, both seasonal & year round. We look forward to meeting you!

THE TEAM

Some of us have been here for years, and some of us are new. Nancy is our general manager—she is a super hard worker and is at the store most days getting things done! Skip is our wine guy—he is responsible for curating our wine room and recommending bottles, which he just loves to do! Theresa is our assistant manager & kitchen manager and she often be found in the kitchen cooking up yummy specials. Annie & Emma are our Barn managers. Annie is in charge of social media, events, and workshops.
